If you would like us to delete all PII that you have provided via the Website, please contact us at the foregoing email address and we will respond to request in a reasonable time, and in any event within thirty (30) days. Please note that some or all of your PII may be required in order for the Website to function properly.
We will retain your PII for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you access to the Website and/or the Services and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you access to the Website and/or the Services, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. To this end, we take reasonable precautions to safeguard the confidentiality of PII and the geo-location information we collect. We protect the security of your PII, including credit card number and geo-location information during transmission to us by using commercially reasonable security practices such as encryption, firewalls and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts the information you input. On the Website, Hopeland uses Stripe to process and accept transactions. We do not store any credit card information. Stripe adheres to international PCI (payment card industry) compliance standards for data security.
Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of 12 requirements that all businesses who handle credit or debit card payments must comply with. We will not make your street address publicly available, but we may transmit it to the designated target as part of a petition. This is a standard industry practice in such situations. In no such case will we disclose your email address or phone number, without your permission. We may also make your comments, along with your first name, city and state available to the press and public online. We are not responsible for the content of use of your email address by campaign targets.
There are opportunities on our website for you to send messages directly to decision makers via email, twitter and letter. Due to the nature of the communication, whatever information you provide—your email address for example—will be shared with the message’s recipient. If you choose to share your contact information with a decision maker in this way, we cannot limit or control how, if at all, that person or organization will use your information or keep it private.
